Free Home Energy Assessments

The Snohomish County PUD is offering free home energy assessments to teams of five or more single-family households in Snohomish County. As a “Team Up & Save” member, you can get a free home energy assessment conducted by a professional home performance auditor. As part of your assessment, you will:

• Receive energy-savings recommendations specific to your home.

• Learn what actions will have the greatest impact on your energy costs (smart investments, as well as low- and no-cost steps you can take).

• Qualify for special cash incentives to help you act on the energy-saving recommendations.

What to Expect During Your Assessment:

Your assessment will take between two and four hours, depending on the size of your home. The contractor will review several energy components in your home that can affect your bill, such as:

• Insulation levels

• Windows

• Heating system & ductwork

• Thermostats

• Appliances

• Electronics

• Lighting

After your assessment, you will receive a report recommending simple, free and low-cost actions, as well as smart investments, that can help lower your energy bill. You will be eligible for special rebates and incentives that are higher than what PUD’s normal programs offer. You decide whether or not to act on the recommendations.

If you’re interested in participating, please email Pat Bauccio at pbauccio1@comcast.net.
